ReplyEvans should not be considered for this seat. She "retired" abruptly, only a few short months after being reelected. She would have known during the election that she would be retiring from her job, and this insurance issue would have been known then. She took advantage of the voter and the city through this situation. Shame on her for applying for the seat.

I disagree, 300 young adults do not need an outlet in Cleveland Heights where they can disturb residents, while urinating in the yards, and keeping traffing from being able to drive because they are in the middle of the street. As a "young adult," they should already understand to how to act like rational humans, and respect the rules of society.

ReplyPaula, I completely agree with you about a Lisboa. Take some responsibllity for the patrons of your establishment. I don't blame the police at all in this case. Given the issues coming out of Myxx, the city is being proactive with monitoring the area.

ReplyThere are more UH students at Cabterbury than Gearity. Canterbury borders UH. 4 & 5 graders will still be in UH at the upper elementary Wiley building. I can see the issue if no school in CH was being dosed, but stop making it a CH vs UH. EVERYONE will be making changes. Get over it.

Karen, i know in a past thread, you stated you own your own business. I would Ike to know the name of it so that I make sure not to go to your business. It is not your opinions, but how you express them that has made me want this information.

My kids are in CHUH. They start at the end of August, and finish in the middle of June. That makes 3 weeks MORE than 9 months, which is closer to 10 months. As far as the masters, go to the Ohio department of education website, and look at licensure. When you are first licensed you get 2 years. Ever 2 years, you need to have so mane credits towards your masters, for 7 years total, then you need to have a masters. Out of your own pocket. Oh, and when I worked in a cubicle, most people spent a fair share of time on the web non-work related, and socializing with coworkers. Funny, I sure don't see that kind of time from elementary school teachers, whose only planning time is during specials, when they oftern have team meetings.

ReplyFunny, the last I saw, my children were in school for closer to 10 months. Plus, teachers have to get masters to keep licensure, out of their own pockets. Plus, most teachers need to put in time in the summer on administrative things. But, I bet you also think that teachers work a 6 hour day, and don't think about lesson planning, grading, etc. And let's not forget how much money most of our teachers spend of their own on supplies for their students. And no, I am not in a teachers union. I just understand the work that teachers do.
