Cleveland Heights Woman Charged With Killing Baby

Kareema Cooper charged with murder, assault and more; baby died from lethal dose of antihistamine

A Cleveland Heights woman has been charged with causing the death of her 6-week-old baby, WKYC reports.

Kareema Cooper, 40, was indicted Tuesday on murder, involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, felonious assault and endangering children in the Feb. 5 death of her child, according to court records.

WKYC reports that the death was caused by a lethal dose of antihistamine.

Her arraignment has been scheduled for Aug. 12 at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
